NAU Spanish Program

NAU/Yuma Outreach Program

Interested in earning your bachelor's degree or a minor in Spanish?

With an estimate of 52 million Hispanics in the United States (17% of the total population), and approximately 500 million Spanish speakers in the world, Spanish is an excellent program to advance in your career.

Each day, the world becomes more close-knit. Global trade, the Internet, and improvements in transportation are accelerating rates of cultural and intellectual exchange. In this international climate, second-language skills will open doors in many careers. With a degree in Spanish, you will improve your opportunities of getting a job in the public and private sectors that value diversity.

With our linguistic, literary, and cultural approaches to language study, you will learn to think critically and develop skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will grow to understand and appreciate diverse cultures. By mastering Spanish, you will discover new opportunities in the global marketplace.

For more information about completing a bachelor's degree or minor in Spanish, you may contact Dr. Amalia Garzon at Amalia.Garzon@nau.edu.
