The Arizona Western College marketing department has invited everyone to the Music Department’s inaugural edition of Festival Yuma 2012, Yuma’s premiere classical music festival. From February 3rd through March 19th, the festival will bring to the Yuma community an eclectic mix of classical music recitals featuring world class performers.
The highlights include a recital by highly acclaimed classical pianist Pauline Martin, a night of Argentinean tango music with accordionist Boki Cvetkovski, pianist Valentin Bogdan and cellist Margaret Fenske, a vocal recital featuring the AWC voice professors, and a performance by the Arizona Western College Community Band featuring works inspired by folk music.

Friday, March 16 Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church, 11273 East 40th Street in Yuma at 7 pm.
The pianists of Arizona Western College will perform “An Evening of Virtuosic Music,” a classical piano recital that will feature works by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, and Bach.

Festival Yuma 2012 was created with the goal of bringing high quality classical music to the surrounding community. The events are free of charge, financial donations will be accepted.
