Do you know anyone at Arizona Western College that deserves recognition for their actions on behalf of the environment and our campus today?   Now is your opportunity to nominate them for the AWC 2012 Sustainability Award.

The AWC Sustainability Council is seeking nominations in each of four categories, student, faculty, staff member or club, for such activities as energy conservation/production, waste reduction/recycling, going paperless, resource conservation, sustainable purchasing practices, education and outreach, advocacy and campus leadership.

You may nominate individuals in every category. This year’s awards are one of a kind ceramic sculptures created by the AWC ceramics department and will be presented during the opening ceremony of the 5th annual Sustainability Fair which will be held April 12, 2012 at 9:30 am on the main campus.

Send your nomination by email to Zoe.Hawk@azwestern.edu with a brief description of the sustainable activities. Winners will be decided by the AWC Sustainability Council (council members are not eligible for the award).

Deadline for submissions is Monday March 19th 2012.
